Thought you all should see Austin's monster carp he caught last week... 30"! Austin & Ryan went fishing on deer creek & had an awesome night! They each caught about 20! So glad we don't have to eat them! ICK!

First Giggle

Hello everyone! Wanted to share Aubrey's first giggle with you all. Almost seems like she's going to explode! Finally gets a great giggle at the end of the clip! Austin & I spent much of the day yesterday out in the sunshine working in the garden. Ethan is our official seed planter - as he & daddy like to say, he "pead" in the garden! He is excited for his strawberries & carrots. He is also in charge of feeding his 5 baby chickens that Grandpa Charlie & Grandma Dona got for Easter. Ethan especially loves to give them caterpillars from the garden. Our chicks are really cool! They are actually a Chilean breed - which makes Austin happy, and they are really beautiful! Ethan has named his favorite white one "Chicken Joe," who is the biggest & greediest.

Fishin' Buddies

Hey everyone, here's a cute foto of Ethan & his hero, Daddy! This one was taken last fall on Strawberry on Dad's boat. I think Ethan is destined to be a great fisherman like Austin! We are excited to get back out on the water! Austin promises to take Ethan kneeboarding this summer... aaah! Hope I dont have a heart attack first, better teach the little guy to swim soon...

Welcome To Our Blog!

Hello! We thought this would be a great way to let y'all know how our little family is doing... much more convenient than typing 20 emails every month!

As you all know, our little family was increased in goofiness by our newest addition, Aubrey Lynne Haacke on January 25th. She weighed 8lb. 6oz., & was 20 1/4" long, a very healthy kiddo! She is such a happy, easy baby... we just got our first giggle! She is our little angel of peace.

Ethan is loving his baby sister Aubrey, & can always get a smile out of her! Ethan will be turning 4 this July 10! WOW! Time flies when you're chasing kids! He loves playing outside in the warm weather - catching bugs & playing in the sandbox, & especially loves his special kitty Suki, who is patient enough to be his "dryer buddy." He's a happy smiley kid who can't wait to go fishing with daddy this summer!

Austin & I are pretty busy adjusting to the craziness of two kiddos - amazing how a simple trip to the store now takes some serious planning! Austin just finished a very busy semester at UVSC, he is studying hard to become a Marriage Counselor - so LOTS of psychology stuff... He is excited to be guiding flyfishing trips again this summer on the Provo River. He is becoming quite the fishing expert - last week he landed a 30" carp on Deer Creek Reservoir!

I am currently working at home doing graphic design for a phone book company, which is great fun. I have a terrible case of "spring fever" & can't wait to get outside in the garden! I also plan to keep busy watercolor painting this summer.
